In 1972, Dr. Tice received an MD from the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center. After interning in general surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, New York, he spent a year in general surgery at University of Colorado affiliated hospitals in Denver before returning to Oregon for his neurosurgery training.
Before starting practice in Grand Junction in 1979, he completed a one year fellowship in microvascular neurosurgery. More than 30 years in neurosurgery in the Grand Valley have allowed him to treat many problems. He now enjoys providing care for spinal and nerve conditions at Family Health West in Fruita, Colorado.
